Our Statement Regarding the New Ontario Minister of Education Jill Dunlop

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Hamilton, Ontario - August 19, 2024

Balance SSCS congratulates Jill Dunlop on her new role as the Minister of Education. We expect her experience in the post-secondary sector will bring a new perspective and hope there will be a renewed commitment to supporting Ontario schools.

Ontario's public education system is long overdue for changes. Many of the practices currently in place are outdated and not neurodiversity-affirming.

We look forward to collaborating with Minister Dunlop to improve Ontario's public education system so that it can better support the needs of disabled and neurodiverse students.
