Balance SSCS congratulates Todd Smith on his new role as the Minister of Education. We look forward to this new leadership. We have faith this change will bring a fresh perspective and a renewed commitment to supporting our schools.
As former head of the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, Minister Smith helped initiate a much needed overhaul of the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). After years of struggling, we hope that Ontario's public education system will also see some long overdue changes.
We look forward to collaborating with Minister Smith to improve Ontario's public education system so that it can better support the needs of disabled and neurodiverse students.
